The tennis fans were eagerly waiting to hear about updates of Simona Halep‘s doping test. While the tennis star reportedly tested positive for Roxadustat, which is a banned substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency, she recently made a bold move against the company that manufactured the supplement she was taking.

Halep’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou came forward and dropped a valuable verdict as he admitted that his coaching team was the one to suggest the supplement. While nobody was aware of the consequences, the Canadian manufacturer Quantum Nutrition has been sued by the Romanian player, who is currently on trial to defend her tennis career.

Simona Halep, who successfully sued the company to seek compensation of more than $10 Million, admitted that she was using the Keto MCT which was contaminated with Roxadustat and had no mention of it on the label. As the tennis star continues to fight for herself, it still remains to be seen if she is exempted from the ban imposed on her.

Quantum Nutrition responds to Simona Halep

While the big update of Simona Halep suing the renowned supplement company came out, the company wasn’t quick to come forward with a response. However, later on, the company’s founder later informed the media that Halep found herself in a struggling situation and was therefore looking to put the blame on someone else’s head. Along with that, the founder regarded his company’s situation as the “fall guy.”

Simona Halep currently seems to be determined to get rid of the four-year-long ban imposed on her. As the tennis star recently had a conversation with the media, she appeared to be quite confident. “I really believe that the truth is going to come out and the day to be on court is going to be soon,” she said.

As the newly introduced segment in the case, the Canadian brand Quantum Nutrition, adds to the picture, the anticipation of the fans to hear the truth has become ever deeper. However, it still remains to be seen if Halep will be released from the ban or if this event marks a sad ending to her tennis career.
