Minutes ago, videos began to circulate on social media ahead of Simona Halep’s doping ban appeal case. In the clips, the Romanian tennis star was seen arriving at the venue of her appeal hearing. It is taking place at the CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.

While arriving with her team, the media surrounded Halep and started asking questions. Further, they also asked about how she was feeling on the day her fate would be decided. Despite the numerous questions thrown at her, Halep maintained a smile on her face and remained tight-lipped.

While she denied answering those questions, the suspended player said that all the questions would be addressed after the hearing, which commenced at 9:30 a.m. local time.

The Romanian has always maintained her innocence in this case. While she denied any wrongdoings, Halep placed the blame on her team for exposing her to banned substances. This case can prove a make-or-break for Halep’s future in tennis.

She said, “I cannot know what will happen over the next three years, how my body will evolve. My dream is to come back, whatever my age. One thing is certain: I want to choose how my career ends, and I don’t want to end my playing life anywhere other than on a court.”
