She wrote, “We should never underestimate the importance of female role models in sport and creating opportunities for young athletes to get close to them. Emma Raducanu’ dad is Romanian and here she is with Simona Halep.”

Growing up, Raducanu has been a huge fan of Halep on and off the court. The image was an adorable, yet inspiring throwback. 2-time Grand Slam winner Halep even replied to the post, with a heart icon.
