However, her appeal to the court resulted in a reduction of the ban to nine months. Cahill was Halep’s pillar of strength during the entire affair, providing constant assurance and standing by her appeal for innocence.

“To me, it’s been 18 months of torture for her. I’ve always believed in her. I’ve always believed she would never deliberately or knowingly take anything that was wrong or banned,” Cahill said, expressing his faith in Halep.
