Alexis Ohanian ready for any possible complications
As Ohanian and Williams prepare to welcome another life into the world, they are ready for anything they may face. In an exclusive with People, Ohanian talked about his time being a parent to Olympia. Preparing for a baby shower in the summer, they are spending time as a family of three before they become a family of four. Ohanian feels more confident going into it this time as he is not a first-time parent anymore.
“We’re not first-time parents anymore. I feel more confident about having a newborn, all of those things that I just had zero confidence about with Olympia because I’d never even been around babies at that point in my life,” the Reddit co-founder said.

Remembering the tough trials Williams faced in 2017, he said they have now put in place measures for problem-free childbirth. “We’re also obviously taking every precaution and doing everything we can to make sure everything goes smoothly for Serena.”

After doctors stated that Williams needed a C-section, more complications came up. Incessant coughing and breathing difficulties became the symptoms of her underlying issue. While she screamed for proper tests, her voice went unheard at first.
After a vehement protest, tests were conducted, and it was found that Williams had a blocked artery due to blood clots. She received a diagnosis of pulmonary embolism and immediately went into treatment. All because she insisted! Things could have got worse if she hadn’t.

As a result, she came out safe. Not long after, Williams made a miraculous comeback to tennis as she went on to play four major finals. The daunting time passed, but the couple will be ready for anything that may yet come up.
