She lent positive words of reinforcement, reported by the Express UK, by sharing her own experience, “I had a great family surrounded by me. Great agency surrounded me. Great sponsors surrounded me. I never felt pressure to do anything result-wise. Really, all the pressure was the pressure I was putting on myself, and that’s always going to be the case.”

She said if Andreeva is surrounded by the right people, then she can win it all. For now, this decision lies with her parents, so she wanted to give them advice instead of Andreeva. She added, “I’m so grateful that my parents always protected me in that sense, so I think I really was just focused on the game and not so much everything else. Because I feel like at that age, I mean, even now, it’s hard to control who you sign with, what sponsors you have, because you don’t know. You’re just doing it based on what your parents or whoever is telling you.”

Gauff’s calm and composed nature was not only evident in her press conference, but it proved to be vital during her match with Andreeva as well.
