5-time Grand Slam champion, Maria Sharapova, recently hit the Red Carpet at Met Gala. The former tennis player looked absolutely stunning in her mustard dress with extra wide elbow-length pleated sleeves. It was Gabriela Hearst who designed the costume for her.

In a recent interview to the MSN.com, Maria Sharapova talked about the dates of her upcoming wedding. She highlighted that as of now, nothing is certain as the environment is not favourable because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think with today’s environment, there’s so many uncertainties, we haven’t set a date,” said Sharapova in the interview.

Sharapova recently got engaged to Alexander Gilkes in December 2020. He is a renowned British businessman who currently serves on the board of the New York Academy of Art.

“Want our friends and family to be comfortable”- Maria Sharapova

Sharapova and Gilkes began dating in 2018. Since then, the two have travelled together to many places throughout the world and finally decided to get engaged in 2020.

In the same interview, Sharapova also revealed that both she and Gilkes don’t want to hurry up things and will only tie the knot when it will be comfortable for all their friends and family members to attend the wedding.

“We actually haven’t discussed it yet because we want our friends and family to be comfortable in an environment and not feel like they have to attend something,” added the former World No.1 player.
