With this victory, Australia move into the round-of-16 stage of the tournament. Meanwhile, Canada was knocked out of the tournament after dropping to third place in the group. In the pre-quarterfinal clash, Australia will take on the runners-up of Group D consisting of England, Denmark, China, and Haiti.
