Eugenie ‘Genie’ Bouchard has been having irregular WTA seasons due to injuries for several years now. The Canadian tennis star hasn’t played professionally since March 2021, owing to her shoulder injury at the Monterrey Open.

The former World No. 5 has been working hard to recover and make her comeback on the tennis court. However, she has been keeping her fans engaged, with various off-court appearances like at the Indian Wells tournament in October this year.

Earlier today, there was a delay in Eugenie Bouchard‘s flight. Thus, in order to pass the time, the Canadian star took to Instagram, where she posted an ‘Ask-Me-Anything’ tag. She welcomed fans and followers to interact with her, captioning the tag “Flight delayed- ask me anything.”

Questions and praises immediately came flowing in, and Bouchard responded to a few for all to see. One fan asked Bouchard about her shoulder’s recovery process, asking, “How your recovery is progressing?”

Eugenie definitely gave fans a happy surprise with her answer. Although she did not reveal anything, she posted a selfie of herself at the airport, along with the reply, “Got some good news todayyyyy!!!!!”

As is apparent, Eugenie Bouchard definitely has some good news that she is holding onto, vis-a-vis her recovery progress.

Eugenie Bouchard has not played a tennis match since March 2021, owing to her shoulder injury. Sadly, her injury had initially rendered her unable to hold a tennis racket for almost half a year.

However, now, Bouchard has been looking strong in her recovery. Through another Instagram post, she pleasantly surprised fans, who have avidly been waiting for her return to the tour.

Bouchard has certainly been recovering well. However, a return to the court at the beginning of the 2022 tour in Australia remains unlikely for her. How excited are you to see Eugenie back in action?
