‘Started Moving My Body Again’ – Maria Sharapova Provides an Update on Her Physical Condition After Announcing the Birth of Her Child

Maria Sharapova overcame all odds to carve a niche for herself in tennis. Earlier in her career, she moved to the United States along with her father to attain better facilities in this sport. This move eventually helped her attain glory, right from her junior days. During her illustrious career, she notched up five Grand Slam title victories.
Earlier this month, the Russian tennis star announced the birth of her son, Theodore. It was a special moment for Sharapova and her partner, Alexander Gilkes. Recently, she revealed her post-pregnancy workout regime.

Maria Sharapova engages in a light workout session
The 35-year-old took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her post-pregnancy workout session. Sharing a video, she said, “Today marks four weeks since giving birth and two weeks since I started moving my body again. I don’t think my body had ever felt as weak as it did the day after birth so even these movements feel like I’ve come a long way. Trying not to push it but I’ll let you know how that goes.”

Earlier, Sharapova took to social media to announce the birth of her first child, Theodore. She posted a picture with Gilkes and Theodore, saying that it was the most beautiful, challenging, and rewarding gift that their little family could have asked for.

Sharapova’s former coach, Michael Joyce, admitted that Sharapova had the most respect for Serena over any other player.
