American tennis legend Serena Williams is spending some quality time with her family. The 41-year-old recently finished her illustrious 27-year-long tennis career. After dedicating a major part of her life to the sport, Serena wants to give it her all to daughter Olympia. Both Serena and her husband Alexis Ohanian have said on different occasions that Serena, for now, is completely focused on Olympia.

The legendary tennis star also keeps her fans updated on social media. Recently, she came up with another Instagram story featuring her five-year-old daughter.

Serena Williams helps Olympia with her new shoes

In a recent Instagram story, we can see Serena wearing extremely undersized shoes. In the background, we can hear the voice of Olympia. The five-year-old asks her mom what she was doing. Serena replied, “You said your shoes were too small. I’m stretching them out for you.” 

Notably, the five-year-old was getting ready to accompany her dad to the final match of Angel City FC.

Earlier this year, the 41-year-old declared the US Open to be her last tournament. She started well in her final Major tournament and won the first two matches. However, she could not go past the third round and it ended up being her last professional tennis match. Serena had never lost in the first two rounds of the US Open earlier and with this, Serena successfully kept her record intact.

Why Serena won’t bring Olympia to her matches?

Serena Williams is probably the best tennis player in the modern era. Over the years, she has given some memorable performances. Serena has faced her own sister on the court countless times, but the intensity never dropped due to her obvious emotional attachment with Venus. However, Serena was not sure of the same as a mother.

The 41-year-old believes that her motherly instincts will overpower her love for the sport if her daughter is present at the stadium. The former world number one said that she won’t take her daughter to the matches because all the time she will be worried about her and won’t be able to focus on the match.

However, the five-year-old was present at the Arthur Ashe stadium this time, when her mother was playing her career’s last tournament.
