Serena Williams has often shown that her abilities go well beyond the tennis court when it comes to controlling the sporting environment. On the other hand, the 42-year-old tennis legend is just as dominant on the big stage of the Super Bowl as she has been in several Grand Slam competitions. Do you know that this year, despite her absence from the tennis court, she has maintained her dominance?

Serena Williams’ dominance over the Super Bowl commercials

When we talk about tennis and the Super Bowl, Serena Williams is the first name that comes to mind, as last year she did two premier advertisements, both in the first quarter of the game. Both the ads were different and gave a different outlook on the former world number-one-ranked tennis player.

The first one came quite early in the game, which was for Remy Martin Cognac. And then she also appeared for a separate brand and did a golf cameo for Michelob Ultra, promoting the same: alcohol. While tennis transfers are quite exciting to watch, the 42-year-old American tennis legend is active in different arenas other than tennis.

Williams’ passionate speech for Rémy Martin

This was the first time when the iconic Cognac brand made its Super Bowl debut with the world-renowned tennis athlete along with their ‘Inch By Inch’ campaign. For the ad, the company took inspiration from the iconic football film produced by none other than Warner Bros. The advertisement celebrated the theme, in many forms by highlighting a lot of individuals who encourage great success that cannot be accomplished alone but can only be accomplished as a part of a collective team.

In addition, even the 23-time Grand Slam winner was quite happy about becoming a part of such a big campaign, as she also agreed with the idea of the advertisement. “I have always been a fan of Rémy Martin and the work they have done to amplify unique voices through collaboration. I personally resonate with the values of the House and love that I’m able to work with a brand whose principles of teamwork and dedication are so closely aligned with my own,” she said about the collaboration.

Williams did a recitation of Coach Tony D’Amato’s pre-game address during the season, drawing inspiration from the football movie Any Given Sunday. In addition, she gained the reputation and power to inspire many others who wish to accomplish greatness through teamwork. On the other hand, the second advertisement she did was for the Michelob Ultra.

Williams another hit Super Bowl commercial

The tennis icon, along with many other well-known names, including Brian Cox, Jimmy Butler, Nneka Ogwumike, Alex Morgan, Tony Romo, and Canelo Álvarez, appeared in her second Super Bowl commercial. The entire commercial opens with a glimpse of a court where the 23-time Grand Slam champion is shown walking to Cox while dressed in purple and having a typical discussion.

While conversing, other characters see the two of them turn up the music and start to pour their drinks from a Michelob Ultra tap while Kenny Loggins’ “I’m Alright,” the Caddyshack theme song, plays. Although it was a happy advertisement, Williams and Michelob Ultra have a long-standing relationship.

They have been together for 3 years now for the Super Bowl and added another star from the same arena to add charm and dominate the Super Bowl commercials. However, what are your thoughts on Williams appearing on the big screen this year? Do let us know in the comment section below.
