Fans had their hearts broken just as the player when Serena Williams injured herself at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. It was perhaps her best shot at her 24th Grand Slam title, but she withdrew from the Grand Slam without completing a single set. There are now doubts over her return to the court.

Even though fans love to watch Serena play, there is a side of her with which most of them are not familiar. In a recent interview, her coach Patrick Mouratoglou answered an intriguing question about her. He revealed the biggest misconception about the American legend- a thing about her only he knows.

“I mean, people only see one side of Serena. They see Serena during the matches. She’s an animal, she’s a fighter. She’s prepared to do anything necessary, you know, fight and she’s even ready to throw the racquet and get into a fight if needed,” said Mouratoglou in the interview.
Fans are definitely aware of the aggressive side of Serena. She is definitely a fighter who just never gives up and can do anything to win a match, as Mouratoglou explained. But what is the other side?

Mouratoglou disclosed that, off the court, Serena is a relaxed athlete who enjoys having so much fun. He believes that fans have not witnessed her like this as they usually get to see her on the court only.

“But there’s another Serena outside the court who’s super fun, super relaxed, completely different. So, they don’t know this Serena. They know only one,” added the French coach.
Serena Williams has confirmed that she’ll not be taking part at the Tokyo Olympics 2021. In such a situation, it is difficult to gauge the extent of her injury and about when she is planning to return to the court.
