Making a return to a competitive sport after turning 30 and, moreover, after embracing motherhood always seems difficult. But the Danish tennis star, Caroline Wozniacki, has now made it look easy as she recently made a stellar comeback. The WTA legend previously moved away from the court in 2020, when her family duties were at the top of her priority list. Now, after three seasons, the former world no.1 has stunned the entire tennis realm with her comeback decision at the age of 33. According to her, this was possible, partly due to the ‘Queen of the Court’, Serena Williams.

In her pre-tournament press conference, the Dane revealed how it might have not been possible without the influence of her best friend and another tennis mom, Serena, who has often been a pillar of support for her. While hailing the 23-time Grand Slam champion, Wozniacki also opened up about how the tennis mothers have paved the path for the next generation.

During the conversation, the Danish tennis star mentioned some of the other players on the women’s circuit who are also a part of the ‘tennis moms’ club. Just like Wozniacki and Williams, the Ukrainian tennis beauty, Elina Svitolina also returned to the tour this season after embarking on her parenthood journey.
