What’s next for Teichmann and Svitolina?
Previously, Svitolina won the Dubai Open two times, and this loss is certainly not a great result for the Ukrainian. Svitolina didn’t have a great 2022 so far, as she terribly lost to Victoria Azarenka in the Aus Open round of 32 by 0-6,2-6. Slowly, the Ukrainian has been going down in rankings after some poor performances. She will now look to bounce back in the next tournament, possibly at Indian Wells.

Meanwhile, Jil Teichmann is over the moon after beating Svitolina as she is slowing going up in the rankings. She will now face either Garbine Muguruza or Veronika Kudermetova in the next round. They are currently playing at the center court in Dubai. No.4 seed, Muguruza is undoubtedly the favorite against Kudermetova. She will also be the favorite against the Swiss player in the next round.
However, if she can continue to perform like the previous two rounds, she will have a great chance against her next opponent.
