The World no. 14, learned tennis from her father and became a tennis star. The player has performed well in 2022. Recently, she announced her partnership with Mercedes Benz in Switzerland. Bencic talked about her journey and said, “Striving for perfection is essential. It makes you better.” She further revealed about how she learned from her father. She stated, “There was a tennis club directly behind our house. That’s where it all started.”

Her desire to succeed has always been high. Bencic said, “I always wanted to win, and I aimed for perfection even in my training. That hard work made me what I am today.”

Bencic talked through about her coveted partnership with Mercedes. She said, “I have always been a Mercedes fan. It’s simply a good fit for me. It’s how I see myself.” Besides, she related herself and her game with Mercedes by saying, “And everything about my game and my demand for perfection- that’s Mercedes.” The World no. 14, talked about her personality and her continuous thirst for more.

In the same vein, Bencic further iterated, “I am a perfectionist. The athlete in me always wants more. I am not always happy with my performance on court.” The Swiss concluded by saying, “I can also be quite emotional about it. But I need it, it’s just the way I am.”

The Swiss player won Charleston Open this year by defeating Ons Jabeur. However, lost to her in the finals of the Grass Court Championships in Berlin. So far, she has performed reasonably well on the court by reaching the later rounds of various tours. Currently, she has made it to the semi-finals of the Tallinn Open.
