Serena Williams has ventured into the business world quite successfully. Apart from her on-court success, the younger Williams sister is a proud owner of a number of businesses like Serena Ventures and S by Serena. Further, her Venture Capital firm, Serena Ventures, has influenced society for the greater good by investing in diversity and women.

Amidst rising tensions in Eastern Europe, English Premier League’s club, Chelsea FC’s owner, Roman Abramovich, is reportedly looking to sell the club. Earlier this week, it emerged that Serena and Lewis Hamilton are interested to be a part of the club’s takeover.

Recently, Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, opened up on the two sporting icons amidst their takeover bid.

Ahead of Chelsea’s meeting with West Ham United in the EPL, the German talked about the club’s potential new owners. He said, “I just heard it, I just got a briefing and heard it that they are part of it. Well, I can tell you not more than I’m a big admirer of both of them. Fantastic sports personalities, fantastic personalities on the court, on the race track, and off, who take responsibility as persons, as human beings and are outstanding sports figures in what they do for which they have our biggest and my biggest respect.”

Further, Serena and Lewis are amongst the investors who have pledged funds. They are part of a takeover offer involving Sir Martin Broughton, the former Liverpool FC, and British Airways chairman.

Further, amidst growing competition for a top-four spot, Chelsea faces West Ham United on Sunday in the London derby. With Manchester City and Liverpool comfortably occupying the top two spots, as many as five clubs are vying for the final two spots for next year’s Champions League. Although Chelsea looks comfortable to end in the top-four, a slip-up from here will severely affect its chances for the Champions League next season.
