Serena Williams is one of the most reputed players on the WTA tour. Her dominance over the last two decades has been absolutely surreal. Fans along with tennis players genuinely appreciate the American’s ability. This time, Chanda Rubin, former World No. 6 has shared her astonishing memories with Serena Williams.

She even remembered talking about each other’s babies and the challenges of parenting. Serena and Chanda have played against each other on a couple of occasions in singles and doubles.

Former World No. 6 chats with Serena Williams

The former 1996 Australian Open doubles champion, Chanda Rubin, recently shared her experience of having a wonderful conversation with Serena Williams. Despite competing against each other, Rubin stated this as an exemplary moment of her life.

Rubin said, “We started talking about our babies, talking about the challenges of motherhood, and feeding and, the late nights and, you know, was she a good sleep versus mine?”

Moreover, former World No. 6 concluded by saying, “And it was one of those really surreal conversations especially having been on this with each other, opposite each other so many times in singles and doubles. But to then be having a conversation off-court about being a mom, I never could have imagined that as a player. But it was just one of those really cool moments when I think back on it.”

Williams’ finally announces some good news on her injury

Just ahead of the 2022 season, Serena Williams has announced some optimistic news regarding her hamstring injury. At Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Williams was asked to speak about her participation at the Australian Open 2022. To this, Williams firmly replied, “I am definitely, yeah.”

It seems like the 23-times Grand Slam champion is feeling much better and is ready to compete again professionally. Moreover, the American would be eyeing for a historic 24th Major Slam, equalling Margaret Court’s record.
