In the caption of his Instagram post, Ohanian talked about his mom’s battle with cancer and the importance of caregivers. “My mom’s fight with terminal brain cancer in the early days of founding @Reddit taught me the importance of caregivers. I saw my dad step up into this role while also running his own small business. Most Americans aren’t so lucky: the emotional toll, out-of-pocket expenses, and the abysmal lack of paid family and medical leave in the US means too many family members are forced to choose between caregiving and a full-time job,” Ohanian wrote.

“@sevensevensix has led this seed round in @joinaidaly because we can clearly see the impact that fair compensation backed by technology will have for family caregivers & their loved ones,” he further said on Twitter.

Currently, Ohanian is spending his time in London with his wife Serena and daughter Olympia. Right now, the 23-time Grand Slam winner is playing at the Eastbourne International, where she won her first match in doubles.
