There is, arguably, nothing more precious to a mother than the love for their child. American WTA star Taylor Townsend is no exception to that. While she has received immense praise for balancing tennis and motherhood well, Townsend believes her success resides in her urge to set an example for her son. As she gears up for the upcoming US Open, this WTA star melted the fraternity’s heart with an adorable moment with Adyn, her son.

Townsend ended her Cincinnati Open run after losing against Jessica Pegula in the Round of 16. After returning from the tournament, she spent some quality time with Adyn Aubrey and warmed the hearts of millions with an adorable social media post. In Townsend’s Instagram story, her son adorably expressed his love for his mother. “I love you mama,” said Townsend’s adorable bundle of joy, touching his mother’s cheek affectionately. Adyn’s heartfelt gesture touched his mother’s heart and Townsend quickly responded with an “I love you too.”

The tennis professional posted a couple of stories. In the previous one, she wrote, “Snuggles” while Adyn held onto his soft toy as he playfully stretched his hand toward the camera. The small clips showed Townsend’s beautiful relationship with her son. This American tennis player suffered long with fertility issues before welcoming her son in March 2021.

Post-motherhood, Townsend took 18 months off the court to recover and enjoy her life’s new phase. Despite enjoying time with her newborn, Townsend was equally determined to return to the professional tennis scene. Not to forget, American former tennis legend Serena Williams, who is a mother of two daughters, was one of her strongest inspirations in the journey.

After Adyn’s arrival, Townsend’s perspective on her achievements changed. Now she wishes to set an example for her child through her work. When Townsend won her first Grand Slam in Wimbledon doubles, she was excited to share her success with Adyn, whom Townsend misses dearly on tours.

After winning the Wimbledon doubles with Katerina Siniakova, Townsend revealed an interesting factor about this journey. She shared a clip on her Instagram story where she talked to Adyn while leaving him at the house before attending the tournament. “This was the day I was leaving.. my word is everything to me. This is means the world to me to be able to show him what mama did,” Townsend wrote in the caption.

After returning with the trophy, Townsend shared another heartfelt moment on her Instagram story, where she said to her son, “Can I have some loving?” Then she kissed Adyn on his cheek and said, “I missed you.” Townsend seemed excited to celebrate her victory with her son and loved ones.

She said to Adyn enthusiastically, “you wanna see the trophy? We’re having a party on Saturday, we’re having the trophy party.” From the tennis player’s expressions, it was clear that Townsend’s happiness doubled with her opportunity to share her success with her son.
