The American internet entrepreneur has now urged a renowned sports collectibles brand to launch a line of its product for athletes in the top-tier soccer league of the United States. In the process, the Reddit co-founder took a slight dig at the company while noting their array of USWNT products.

The renowned sports collectibles brand, Funko was recently reminded by Alexis Ohanian that their product line doesn’t include athletes from the National Women’s Soccer League (NSWL). Funko is known for manufacturing pop culture figures depicting various athletes from the sporting realm. Their business line also includes Funko pops of soccer players who are part of the USWNT.

However, they have not yet launched any similar products for athletes playing in the top-tier soccer league of the United States. It was the husband of Serena Williams who has now come forward to remind them of the same on Twitter. The American internet entrepreneur shared some images of their Funko pops of USWNT players like Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan. He added a caption, “Hey @OriginalFunko love @USWNT but when @NWSL?”

There is already a lot of demand for Funko’s pop culture figures as they previously had a whopping $1.3 billion worth of net sales according to an exclusive report from Observer. The sports collectibles company is also planning to expand its inventory size to meet the increasing demand for its products in the market.

Ever since it was launched in 2011, the Funko Pops figurines have already caught a lot of attention from many notable figures. The sports collectibles brand has manufactured pop culture figures depicting some of the greatest athletes including Venus Williams.

Even Alexis Ohanian has one of these Funko Pops toys of the 7 singles Grand Slam champion. On his Twitter, the Reddit co-founder previously revealed that he is a pop culture figure collector.
