Russell Crowe denied entry to an Australian restaurant for a bizarre tennis reason!

The 58-year-old actor and his girlfriend recently visited the Mr. Miyagi fusion restaurant where they were denied service. As they were spotted in tennis gears, which apparently didn’t meet the smart casual dress code of the restaurant.

The incident took place when the couple reached the restaurant to have a quick bite after playing tennis, according to the ‘Gladiator’ actor’s manager, reported the Daily Mail Australia. Moreover, they were playing tennis before approaching the restaurant. So, he was wearing a brand new Ralph Lauren Polo shirt. On the other hand, his girlfriend was wearing a fancy tennis skirt.

The fusion restaurant describes itself as both casual and fancy, but wearing work clothes, flip-flops, and activewear are some clothes that are forbidden in the restaurant. However, the owner of the place, after this incident, made his point clear in an interview with the Herald Sun that no one, even an Oscar-award-winning actor, is above the rules of the restaurant.

Notably, later, the restaurant tried to lighten the tense situation with an update about their dress-code rule on its Instagram account. They put up an announcement on a notice board that read, “Dress smart casual unless you’re Russell Crowe, then wear whatevs.
