Having worked towards eradicating gender inequality in tennis, she understands the struggle women face in different fields.

She has always been supportive of fellow women pioneers. Speaking of which, she recently congratulated Judy Woodruff for receiving a well-deserved award.

The American broadcast journalist Judy Woodruff was awarded with a lifetime achievement award on Thursday. In response, the 12-time Grand Slam champion took to Twitter to congratulate her, and wrote. Congratulations to Judy Woodruff on her Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award in Television News.”

Thereafter, she added, “Such a well-deserved honor for a trailblazing journalist.” Woodruff has worked for cable, network and public television news and is famous for exclusively covering presidential elections.
