The tech-focused golf league led by Tiger Woods has exploded in popularity while arousing the interest of many notable figures. Serena Williams‘ and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, are no exception, as they previously came up with the idea of their own team, Angeles Golf Club, in TGL. From flexing their own merchandise to giving huge shout-outs to LAGC on social media, the power has done it all to showcase their support.
Williams and Ohanian, however, aren’t the only popular names who have joined the investment group of the legendary American golfer’s league. Even the NBA star Stephen Curry has now succumbed to the TGL craze as he joins other investors in Woods’ ambitious golf project.

The Golden State Warriors star is no stranger to golf, as he has long been both an avid fan and participant in the sport. In Charlotte, the 35-year-old used to play the game during his high school days and also marked his participation in two editions of the Korn Ferry Tour events.
On top of this, Stephen Curry recently emerged triumphant in the popular celebrity golf tournament, the American Century Championship. Now, the American basketball icon has taken his golf obsession to the next level as he has become an investor in the TGL.

According to a recent release, as reported by The Messenger, the NBA phenomenon will be backing the San Francisco team in the indoor golf league. Curry is accompanied by the former co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, Marc Lasry, who is quite thrilled about the partnership. He said, “Avenue is thrilled to be working with Stephen Curry, in partnership with TMRW Sports as a founding TGL team”.
Apart from the GS Warriors star, some other big names in the sporting community have also joined TGL’s investors’ group.

Who all are backing the Woods’ golf project?
The tech-focused golf league has also piqued the interest of the likes of Venus Williams and Andy Murray on the tennis circuit. Apart from these tennis superstars, the former Real Madrid player, Gareth Bale, has also invested in the TGL launched by Tiger Woods. Even in the Formula 1 community, Team Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is backing the American golfer’s venture as he was the first one to join the investors’ group.
