He wrote, “Happy birthday, Ms.Waterbender.” On the other hand, he tagged the 20-year-old as a character that was found in the animated series Avatar.  In addition, she also replied with an Avatar lingo to respond to the message, “@jalensera thank you Mr. Earthbender!”

Earthbenders are a distinct and powerful group in the vast world of Avatar, the Last Airbender. They demonstrate remarkable abilities like metal bending, lava bending, and even the rare skill of face-bending, all thanks to their ability to alter the ground. However, did you know that her tennis idol, Serena Williams, was also a part of the popular show that streamed on Netflix? Just a few days ago, Gauff proudly shared her review of the same and highlighted the unnecessary hate the first part received.

Only a few days after winning in the first round, she was asked about her opinions of the Avatar Netflix adaptation at a press conference following her victory. She said, “Yeah, I really like the adaptation. I watched the first one. I think it’s overhated. People are critiquing every little thing. Obviously there’s things that could have been improved. I think overall it was an enjoyable series to watch. I’m glad it got renewed for two seasons.”

Thinking back on the excitement that surrounded the original release, she mentioned how fans scrutinized and criticized the first installment of the series closely, with some criticisms coming out as too critical and picky.
