The Reddit co-founder first met the legendary tennis player, Serena Williams, in Rome, just before she played her first match at the Italian Open. The lives of both legends had since been filled with awards and major titles. Recently, Ohanian won a prestigious sports award from the Billie Jean King Foundation.

Ohanian used the sports event to call for reforms in NWSL, the National Women’s Soccer League. The internet entrepreneur is the founding investor in  Angel City FC, the newest professional women’s soccer team. The doting husband of Serena Williams said the NWSL needs a safe work environment while receiving the Equality Award.

Fans often see the legendary tennis player, Serena Williams, motivating and cheering her husband at such events. Ohanian was seen at the event along with his daughter, Olympia and his wife spending fun and quality time with each other.

Alex Ohanian expressed his pleasure about the title and the support he has received from his fans. In his Instagram post, he said,” Thank you women’s sports foundation for this award and thank you to all the amazing women of soccer for your enduring greatness in the face of tremendous adversity.”

The internet entrepreneur further added, “I’ll post my remarks shortly, but I’m grateful to Billie Jean King and the foundation for this award — there’s still so much more work to do, but I’m glad to be an owner of a club like Angel City and delighted I could receive this honour with my wife, daughter, dad and stepmom in attendance.”

Ohanian hints at a possible return of Williams to tennis

Williams’ husband jokingly called out Tom Brady on Twitter to get her to think about the idea. Williams announced last month that she would evolve away from tennis after the US Open. And that she and Ohanian wanted another child.

Serena played her last match against Ajla Tomljanovic at the US Open. In her post-match interview, she thanked her entire family, her dad Richard Williams, her mother, her sister Venus Williams and her fans for helping her achieve her goal.
