Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian’s lives completely changed for the greater good when their daughter Olympia entered their lives. Indeed, the year 2017 was a special one for the 23-times Grand Slam champion on many fronts. She won the Australian Open title that year, defeating her elder sister, Venus Williams, in the finals. The same year, she tied the knot with Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, and gave birth to Olympia.

So, what we try to invest in is companies that are really impacting everyday lives of everyday people. So that, kind of really broadens our spectrum of who we invest in. Also, it narrows down on who we do not invest in.” While Venus Williams fought against gender inequality in tennis, Serena hopes to invest in women and diversity through her Venture Capital firm.
