Serena Williams, the 23 times Grand Slam champion, is currently recovering from an injury from last year’s Wimbledon Championship. She has been on the sidelines for almost a year now. However, on the bright side, her break from tennis has provided her with a chance to spend time with her daughter.

Serena and her husband Alexis Ohanian welcomed Olympia in 2017. Since then, the four-year-old has been the most important person in both her parents’ life. Recently Serena made a guest appearance on ‘The Ellen Show’ and spoke about her little one’s tennis skills.

Serena Williams Speaks About Olympia’s Tennis

The tennis legend, while speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, the host of the show, stumbled upon the question about how Olympia is as a tennis player. To which Serena jokingly enquired about whose opinion Ellen wanted. A player’s or a mom’s.

However, after Ellen asked her to give base her opinion as an objective person, she gasped. And said, “I don’t know if I can be objective. Because I look at her and I am like wow. So my husband post a video of her hitting a backhand. That was a good shot, but that was not her consistent backhand. And I am like well. You know, if wants to play tennis she gotta….. But I don’t push her.”

“Yeah, she is alright. I have seen four-year-olds that might take her out.” She added.

Williams and Beyonce

Serena Williams is best friends with Beyonce, the music sensation. Recently, the former world no.1 shared the best thing about being best friends with Beyonce. She said, “Dance lessons. Although I haven’t gotten them yet. But yeah.” Beyonce has attended important matches of Serena multiple times. Like, she was at both Wimbledon and the US Open of 2016.

Further, the movie King Richard’s end credit is blessed by the song Be alive, which Beyonce wrote and voiced. Along with the six other nominations, the Academy awards nominated the song as well.

And on the night of Oscars, Beyonce made a special gesture. She gave a live performance at the courts in Crompton, where both Venus and Serena Williams started their journey.
