Serena Williams has recently been in the news for her contribution to the movie King Richard, which is the story of how her father Richard  along with her mother Oracene Price created two of the greatest ambassadors of women’s tennis.

She has been spotted at premieres and award shows promoting the movie and we have also come to know that both she and her sister Venus Williams had an in-depth involvement in how the script turned out to be and how the movie was eventually made. While she has been off the circuit for quite some time now, this and her role as a mother have kept her busy.

She often gives her fans a glimpse of her life with her four-year-old daughter Olympia, who Serena calls “her twin”. The adorable toddler is seen on her parents’ social media frequently.

Serena Williams talks about her daughter’s ambitions

Some time ago, Serena Williams had posted a video of Olympia hitting a magnificent backhand which had drawn the attention of experts saying how Olympia was meant for the tennis courts. But in a recent interview with Ellen, Serena opened up about Olympia’s tennis skills.

Serena hilariously was uncertain about her daughter’s skills at swinging the racquet. She informed Ellen that the four-year-old was more interested in anything that had to do with princesses.

“But that’s not her ambition right now. Her ambition is playing Princess games. Yeah, she loves Princess games and the more we can play anything with princesses, that’s her whole life.”

While that seems like a normal enough activity for a four-year-old, given who her parents are, Olympia will have to fulfil a lot of expectations from many people with regard to the career she chooses.

Serena is looking for a comeback

Fans of the 23-time Grand Slam champion have been missing her presence on-court. Her last match was at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, where she had to retire midway into the first set against Aliaksandra Sasnovich. This was due to a right hamstring injury that she sustained after an unfortunate fall on the court.

But, in a recent hilarious interaction with Aaron Rodgers of the Green Day Packers, Serena announced that she is looking to make a comeback at Wimbledon this year. This will be her attempt at a record-equaling 24th major crown.
