One of the greatest tennis players of all time, Serena Williams, made her much-awaited comeback recently. The 40-year-old surprised everyone with a sudden announcement of making wild card entry to the Wimbledon Championships in 2022. However, the  23-time Grand Slam champion failed to replicate her older self and crashed out with a first-round loss. Even though her comeback was not how her fans expected but they still enjoyed watching the queen of court back in the action.

Serena is quite popular all over the world and has a huge fan following. The American is pretty active on social media and keeps her fans updated on her whereabouts.

In the same vein, she shared a clip of herself attending a wedding.

Serena Williams gets emotional at a wedding

Serena attended a wedding recently. Sharing a story on Instagram, the 40-year-old got emotional. Notably, she was overwhelmed with the wedding and the song that played in the background.

“So I am watching this wedding and getting emotional because this song is so pretty, and the bride is so pretty. Keep in mind I literally just walked outside and have to miss the wedding happening, but I am loving it,” she said.

Serena got married to the Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, back in the year 2017. The couple was in a relationship since 2015 and has a four-year-old daughter, Olympia.

Serena will play in the US Open 2022

Now that Serena Williams is back in action, her fans are eagerly waiting to see her back in the action. However, the 23-time Grand Slam champion will be more careful now with the usage of Wild card entries. After a long injury gap, Serena is set to drop out of the WTA rankings.

With limited options available, the 40-year-old will be eying mega-events now. After her match in the Wimbledon Championships, Serena hinted at playing in the US Open later this year.

“There’s definitely lots of motivation to get better and to play at home,” she said.
