Maria Sharapova has been one of the most popular and accomplished tennis players of her time. She retired from professional tennis in 2020. She is currently in New York, enjoying herself to the fullest in the city that never sleeps. The former World No. 1 posted a few pictures of herself, looking gorgeous as ever and having a gala time in the most happening city in the world.

Sharapova posted a few stories, and captioned one of them, “My favourite two things on a NYC evening. Eating and carefully studying @abramaovicinstitute numerology reading at and on the table.” The person in the picture is Marina Abramovic, probably the world’s most famous performance artist.

It seems like she is having a gala time. She faced a suspension for using a banned substance in 2016.  She did make a comeback to the tour fifteen months later. However, struggled to create an impact upon her comeback in comparison to her performances in her prime. Eventually, Sharapova bid a goodbye to the game in February 2020. Nonetheless, Sharapova belongs in the rare club of tennis players to win a career Grand Slam.
