Serena Williams has a ruthless fanbase

Court is one of those legendary tennis players whose popularity among the new generation of fans has diminished rapidly, especially when it comes to Serena fans. The news of the robbery, thus, sets Serena’s fanbase in a happy mood.

Margaret herself is quite shocked at the incident, but only prays for goodwill to shine on the arrested aggravators.

A fan tweeted their reply to the news saying, “The devil work’s hard, but Rena’s army works harder”, hinting at Serena’s fans who are trying to take hilarious digs at the former Australian star.

Fans have also responded to the news with some hilarious GIFs.

A fan has posted a clip of Serena laughing out loud on the Drew Barrymore show and used it to reply to the news.

Stirring up the Williams-Court controversy over who the real GOAT is, fans have tried to emulate Serena’s response to the theft. Officially, Serena has not made any statement about the incident.

A fan has thrown their question at Serena fans, hilariously assuming it was one of them that executed the robbery.

Other tennis enthusiasts have simply called on the robbery as the best thing to happen to them in a while. They expressed sheer delight at the incident.

Williams versus Court, who is the GOAT?

Although Serena has 23 Grand Slams to her name, that’s one short of Margaret Court. The tennis world considers Serena to be the greatest player in the Open Era. Moreover, since Court’s history was scripted before the Open Era when most players rarely traveled to different countries to compete, many hesitate to consider Court as the GOAT of women’s tennis.

While Serena was candid about wanting to break Margaret’s brilliant record, the tennis legend remains inspiring in her own way. Serena’s decision to retire in US Open 2022 while still being in form is proof that Williams does not think about the record anymore.
