The Japanese player launched a children’s picture book, ‘The Way Champs Play’.

Naomi Osaka follows in the footsteps of Serena Williams
The Japanese player has always raised her voice both on and off the court to promote a healthy environment. Now, she has launched her new children’s book to promote the same for children around the world. Osaka announced the release of her first children’s picture book, ‘The Way Champs Play’.

A portion of the proceeds from the book sales will go to her non-profit organization, Play Academy. The organization is focused on helping girls from underprivileged backgrounds get grants and training from community sports organizations.

She took to Instagram to announce the launch of the book. She stated, “So excited to finally announce the release of my first children’s book, The Way Champs Play. It’s the first publishing project under my production company @hanakuma.”

Moreover, she sent a message to the target audience. She stated, “I hope this book inspires kids to chase their dreams and encourages them to believe they can do anything they put their minds to.”
Furthermore, she stated, “This book holds an extra special place in my heart as a portion of the proceeds will go to my foundation @playacademynaomi which works to support young girls in sport.”

This is not the first time that such a project has been launched by a tennis player. Serena Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam champion, also recently launched a children’s book, ‘The Adventures of Qai Qai’.
In this book, a little girl learns to believe in herself with the help of her doll and best friend, Qai Qai. The book garnered positive reviews from both critics and fans.
