With over 3x in collections, the film also went on to win the MTV Movie Award for ‘Best Fight.’ Recently, Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian had a request for Sandler as memories from the iconic movie resurfaced.

‘Happy Gilmore’ revolves around the life of an unsuccessful hockey player who discovers his interest in golf. Adam Sandler plays the lead character of Happy Gilmore in the movie. He recreated a scene from the film to which the Reddit co-founder reacted.

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian wishes to sign Adam Sandler

Last month, a resurfaced video went viral on Instagram showing Sandler testing his golfing skills once again. Memories of Happy Gilmore came back to light as the 56-year-old recreated the iconic swing from the movie. The original video hit social media in 2021, on the 25th anniversary of the movie’s release.

Hours ago, Alexis Ohanian took to Instagram to share this video. Posting a story on this on his official Instagram handle, the Reddit co-founder wrote, “Hey @adamsandler I want to sign you @wearelagc the world needs this.”

Los Angeles Golf Club is the first team sold in the golf league named TGL. It is backed by professional golfers Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. The founding team of LAGC contains many members of Serena’s family.

Los Angeles Golf Club, which has been making headlines in Woods and McIlroy’s backed league, comprises of Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Alexis Ohanian, and Olympia Ohanian as the founding investors. The 5-year-old daughter of Serena and Alexis, Olympia became the youngest 2-team owner in professional sports, also having Angel City FC in her portfolio.
