‘There’s Always Something Wrong’- Sloane Stephens Admits Aging Niggles and How She Overcame Them With Love for Tennis

Former US Open Champion Sloane Stephens has made her way through to the second round of the Brisbane International Tournament and has had a great start to the year. She played against Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic and earned a hard-fought victory over her. Winning the match may or may not have been easy for her but preparing for it and putting her body up for it was not easy.
She recently talked about how she had to focus a lot on her body because it had changed a lot due to her increasing age and old injuries. Further, she also explained how she worked on those things and came back better.

In a recent interview, Sloane Stephens mentioned how she always listens to her body and if there is something that feels is off, she works on it and prioritizes it. During another interview, she was asked about what she meant when she said, ‘listening to her body’.

To which she responded, “There’s always something wrong with me, but I’m getting older. I just put off some health things, and I was able to go home and focus on it and focus on myself and try to get my body in the best shape possible and try to get my mental in the best place possible to be able to come out and play a full season and try to stay healthy. I just tried to put everything in place so that I could make that happen for myself this season and see where that gets me.”

Stephens shared how with a healthy body she feels more confident coming back as well to play the whole season whereas earlier putting it off did not make her feel very good about her body as she always felt there was some ongoing issue. Not just that, she also gave an interview after winning the first match of 2024 and talked about how her experience was with the match.

After defeating her Czech opponent, Sloane Stephens was asked about her win against her. To which she responded that it was obviously a good match according to her. She also stated that for her it was very tough to even start the year and she did not know what was going to happen with her first tournament.

But it was great for her to come to the 2024 season start and win a match. She also shared how she is very proud of her performance in the match as it was not an easy victory at all. We are sure her fans would be proud of her too.
