Coco Gauff is acing the game on and off the court! There is a famous saying,When in Rome, do as the Romans do. For the 21-year-old American tennis star, competing in Rome means reflecting her passion for fashion at the Foro Italico with a timeless and classic twist. She has recently taken the fashion game to the next level by unveiling the first pieces from the tennis-inspired collaboration between New Balance and the renowned fashion brand, Miu Miu. Talking about her on-court fashion, Gauff once revealed,[My on-court style], I would say, is quite opposite to what I wear off-court, honestly. I like to show a little bit more skin, which I still do off-court, but even more on-court. I like to wear a lot of bright colors — I feel like it just looks good on the tennis court.Although she claims her 2025 AO outfit as one of her favorites, herclassically elegantnavy and white with red accents on the crushed-brick clay courts have become the talk of the town at the Italian Open. Miu Miu has played a pivotal role in helping Gauff make these fashion statements. What does he does she have to say about this collaboration, though?

Talking about Miu Miu and their recent partnership with New Balance, Coco Gauff previously claimed,I’ve always been a fan of Miu Miu and I’ve bought stuff from them, so when they told me about this opportunity, I was obviously so excited. They dressed me for the [2025] Oscars and Vanity Fair party. So it’s been a whole relationship with them. For those unaware, Miu Miu is an Italian fashion brand that was founded in 1993 by Prada’s head designer Miuccia Prada. Speaking about the real motive to work with this brand, Gauff had earlier said,Overall, I just wanted the aesthetic to be very classic, very timeless tennis. I feel like Miu Miu is a brand that is catered to Gen Z, and the pieces are very classic but (have a) modern twist to them.”

Now, recently in another video clip released by the WTA on their IG handle, Coco Gauff was spotted talking about fashion and her Miu Miu x New Balance collaboration. She said,Miu Miu and I kind of started our relationship this year. They dressed me for the Oscars and Vanity Fair, which is really cool. And I feel like tennis, with the rise of it necessarily tennis fashion, I think we all felt like it was a very natural thing to do. So yeah, they’re collaborating with New Balance to design my kits for Rome, Cincinnati, and Berlin. So, I’m super excited for that. The logo is sick and I think it’s so cool and I’m just excited to wear it.”

We have seen a combination of navy/white/red in Rome, but in Berlin, it will be white/green/sky blue, whereas in Cincinnati they’ve picked white/royal blue/red. Talking about bringing fashion to the court, who was Gauff’s real inspiration when it came it on-court fashion? With TikTok trends and all of that. So, I feel like trying to bring that fashion to tennis can bring more people who maybe never heard of the sport, or heard of it but never knew any players other than Serena or Roger.

Talking about following the footsteps of Serena Williams, well, with her recent win over Mirra Andreeva, Coco Gauff has now joined an elite list featuring the 23-time Grand Slam champion. What is that record, though?

Coco Gauff accomplishes an astonishing feat at the Italian Open

A clean sweep! Yes, that’s the record for Coco Gauff against Mirra Andreeva (4-0). Recently, she took down the 18-year-old Russian by 6-4,7-6(5) in the QF of the 2025 Italian Open. With this win, Gauff (21 years and 54 days) has now become the fifth youngest woman to reach three SFs (2021,2024,2025) at the Italian Open in the Open Era. Not only that, she has now also secured her tenth WTA 1000 SF, and there are only four players who have reached more before the age of 2022. Martina Hingis has a record of 33, and she’s followed by Maria Sharapova (15), Venus Williams (11), and Serena Williams (11).

What did Gauff say after this incredible victory against Andreeva, though? In her on-court interview, she said,I’m feeling really good — and I feel I have a lot to improve on, too. When you’re winning matches and you still feel like you have a whole ceiling to reach, it just makes you feel good. I’ve lost in the semis here a few times, so I’m hoping to get through to the final stage. At the end, my defense, it was tough.Last year, she was defeated by Iga Swiatek in the SF by 4-6,3-6. But this year, Swiatek has already been knocked out! So, Gauff has a good chance of clinching the title this year. But can she defeat Qinwen Zheng in the SF?

Gauff has a 2-0 record over the Chinese! Although she wanted to play against the world number one, Aryna Sabalenka, in the semis, Zheng toppled the Belarusian by 6-4,6-3 in her previous match. So, it’s going to be a real challenge for the American, and she knows it very well!Obviously Qinwen is tough to play. I have no preference. It’s going to be a tough, hard match either way,Gauff further added when she was asked to pick her opponent for the SF. Do you think she can beat Zheng in the SF and make a bold statement yet again, just like she has been doing with her fashion on and off the court?
