Childhood coach recalls the passion of Serena Williams and Venus Williams

The Williams sisters have achieved the status of tennis legends due to their dominance in the last two decades. With a combined total of 44 grand slam titles, they have created a new bar for inspiring athletes. To share more anecdotes about Serena and Venus, Macci shared a story about their earlier years with him. He wrote on his X account, “The best quality of @serenawilliams @venusewill was both girls were so over the Top determined they would dart over broken glass to get a ball and dart back over it again to get the next one! Maybe that is why they ended on Top!“

How Rick Macci pulled out all the stops for the Williams sisters

When he saw them play for the first time, the American coach realized he had discovered diamonds in the rough. Therefore, he made sure not to sacrifice at any point for the two. He took them under his wing immediately and coached them to reach the stars. Additionally, to make sure they didn’t feel the need for anything, he bought a $92,000 motor home for the players, which construed anything the two girls could desire. 

His efforts for the two paid off, as he now stands proudly as the coach of the best sister duo in the history of tennis.
