Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa’s duo, however, has now evolved into a trio as Ons Jabeur gets involved in the banter. The trio’s connection and friendship, both on and off the court, are growing stronger as they enjoy their newfound friendship. In between jokes and giggles, 29-year-old tennis player Ons Jabeur feels bound to say how much she admires their extraordinary connection.

The former Wimbledon finalist, in a recent conversation with Tennis Channel, talked about her role in the trio. She stated, “They’re both kids, you know, so I’m here as a psychologist between them. No, I love both, obviously. I think Aryna and Paula have a connection of the fashion. I wore this, I wore that I bought this new, and I’m like I go to the real thing you know, what do you need, let’s go have dinner you know.”

Although Jabeur highlighted that both of them are quite connected with each other through fashion, she, on the other end, brings out the realistic touch among them all. Subsequently, while she didn’t stop adoring the two of them, she also highlighted how they have become close to the 26-year-old Spaniard, as she has been going through a rough patch in her career lately.

“We got a bit more close with Paula lately you know um and I really wish her all the best. I think she’s struggling a little bit right now but I know she’s going to come back stronger,” she added.

Even though they are very close, the three recently got into some lighthearted banter that fans found endearing. Badosa posted a video to social media referring to Ons Jabeur as her best friend, which sparked a wave of responses. Clearly thrilled by the announcement, Jabeur playfully asked the videographer for the video, teasing their other trio member, Aryna Sabalenka, “Send me the tape”.

Laughing at Jabeur’s antics, Sabalenka retaliated by jokingly claiming offense and subtly pledging her loyalty to Badosa. After that, the 26-year-old went overboard and shared her love for the Australian Open champion, as she wrote, “But.. Where were you after my match? @sabalenka_aryna I love you both ok?”

But in the end, the three of them set aside their humor and worked things out. Not only that, just a few days ago, the current world number two player talked about her friendship with Badosa, and highlighted how she found a soulmate in her.

Sabalenka considers Badosa her ‘soulmate’

The 25-year-old tennis player revealed in one of the recent press conferences that she has been friends with the Spaniard for around 3 to 4 years now. She stated, “I love Paula [Badosa] very much. We have been friends for three or four years, she is an incredible person. It is very important to have friends on the circuit, so when you find someone who you feel is your soulmate, it is the best thing that can happen to you.”
