Serena Williams finds support in her sister and mother
While promoting Berlei’s ‘In Support of You’ campaign, the 23-time Grand Slam winner praised Berlei for sending an important message to society about self-confidence. During that interview, she was asked about finding the right support in her real life. In reply, she gave credit to her sister and mother, also her whole family.

“Definitely my sister. She’s been amazing and my mum, basically all my family are very supportive. But also realistic in terms of like, they’re not going to let me just run and do anything, they’re also going to bring me back to life and make sure that I’m on the right path.”

“Sometimes support isn’t always saying ‘go, go, go’, it’s sometimes saying ‘no, no, no’ and just understanding that there’s boundaries and things that might not be great, but I really appreciate that,” Serena stated.
Serena and Venus’ journey to becoming the greatest
If you have seen the movie, ‘King Richard’, then you know how both the sister grew up. Also, the support both of them received from their father, Richard Williams, and mother, Oracene Price. Despite having a strong rivalry on the tennis court, Venus and Serena’s bond stayed strong throughout their career.
In a way, they both achieved their dream. While Venus became the world no.1 in 2002, Serena has now 23 Grand Slam titles and many call her the greatest of all time. Also, the Williams Sisters won 14 Grand Slam titles together, along with various Olympic gold medals.

Right now, Venus (41) and Serena (40) are both at the tail end of their career. Many fans want them to finish their career gracefully, after dominating the sport for more than two decades.
