‘King Richard’ has earned six Oscar nominations. It depicts the contribution of the father, Richard Williams, in shaping the lives and careers of two of the best tennis players, Venus Williams and Serena Williams. The actor Will Smith, portraying Richard Williams, hailed the contribution of Miss Oracene, the mother of the two tennis stars.

Oscar-nominated actor Will Smith talked about the portrayal of the contribution of Miss Oracene. He was present with Aunjanue Ellis at Essence Black Women in Hollywood event. He acknowledged that people can make sometimes spectacular contributions in the dark. However, they get little attention. The actor said, “In dealing with Miss Oracene, how we missed some of the contribution because the contribution was powerful but quiet.” Actress Aunjanue Ellis portrays Miss Oracene Price’s role as a mother in the movie.
Furthermore, he acknowledged it is crucial to bring contributions into the limelight which could have been side-lined. He stated, “Some things have been missed to honor our own and to elevate and illuminate some of the things that happened in the dark.” Miss Oracene Price had coached the sisters.
