Seeing her play the way she does, it is difficult to believe that Cori Gauff is just 17 years old. In fact, she has already secured three WTA doubles and two WTA singles titles under her belt!

Gauff is also a part of Patrick Mouratglou’s team. Mouratoglou is one of the most famous coaches in tennis. Additionally, he has been Serena Williams’ coach for almost a decade now.

Being a 17-year-old teenager, Coco Gauff is no stranger to the allure of social media. Thus, she remains pretty active on Instagram and Twitter, updating her fans about her life.

Her remarkable talent and skill hasn’t gone unnoticed outside the world of tennis either, either. Back in 2019, when she was merely 15, “The Dynamite Kid” Mike Tyson himself sparred with the youngster during her training.

Fans were treated to a delight when Coco Gauff posted a 2019 video of herself sparring with Mike Tyson himself on her Instagram story. “I think I need some more lessons,” she quoted, reposting and reminiscing over her training session with Tyson from two years ago.

Mike Tyson has regularly graced the Mouratoglou training camp with his presence to train with Serena Williams as well. Furthermore, he was all praises for Gauff back when they met, calling her ‘future GOAT’ on his Twitter.

In an interview with The Guardian, Patrick Mourataglou was nothing but praises for the young Gauff. He talked about how they first met when she came to his academy, aged only ten.

Patrick describes how he immediately knew that Coco would be a great player when they met. “It’s something I have known since I met her I had an individual one-on-one discussion with her. I said: ‘Guys, she’s different.”

There’s no doubt that Mouratoglou was correct. The world watches on in anticipation every time the young American takes to the court, expecting her to display her skills the way only she can.
