She was at the peak of her career winning Australian Open in 2018 but her run came to an abrupt ending. She was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and had to retire in 2020. The 33-year-old then took a break and focused on starting a family. But she’s a fighter, and a return was almost imminent.

During the podcast, she went on to share how competitive she has been throughout her childhood. Now she has found the same character in her 2-year-old daughter. Here’s what she says, “I’ve always been competitive, whether that was in school or whether that was playing cards. With, you know, with the family, whatever it was, I was wanting to be the best or win and find a way to win.”
