Serena Williams and Venus Williams referred to themselves as role models when they were kids

A recent post on the internet revealed some amazing snippets of Serena Williams and Venus Williams from a past interview. In the post, it was revealed that when the sisters were asked about who their role models were; they gave unique answers that no one was expecting.

Surprisingly, both of them mentioned they were their own role models. Serena Williams had written, “Me Serena” in her answer, and on the other hand, Venus Williams had mentioned, “ME” as well in her answer. Even though at the time they were not aware of the impact they would be making in the world, they still were confident enough to keep their names as role models.

And now, if we look at it after 30 years, their sheer confidence in themselves and their claim about being role models turned out to be true. They have now indeed turned out to be role models for millions.

Williams’ sisters claimed to become the best 30 years back

The interview forms the sisters had filled out not only showed how they called themselves role models but also collected other information about them, like their personal and professional goals and what plans they had for the future. Both of them wrote the same answer in this section as well. Serena Williams had answered that she wanted to become number one in the world.

And her sister Venus Williams had also given a similar answer with an add-on. She wrote that she also wants to become the number one in the world and, along with that, she also wrote that she wants to win Wimbledon.
