Alexis Ohanian, the husband of Serena Williams, has tasted success in his endeavors by making sure he does the right thing. Since the inception of his venture capital firm, Seven Seven Six, the co-founder of Reddit has invested in several small businesses led by people hailing from minority communities. Along with his wife, the two have helped make resounding improvements in businesses led by women and people of color. However, Ohanian wants to ensure that he is not making strides due to the wrong reasons. 

Ohanian is aware of the problems faced by several minorities in the world. Therefore, he make sure to help the unprivileged as much as he can through his .

Serena Williams’ husband inspired by the right reasons 

Alexis Ohanian recently interviewed with the Bloomberg Businessweek Podcast with host Carol Massar. In the podcast, Ohanian discussed how he has set aside a trust for his daughter. Additionally, he also talked about how he conducts his business practices. Ohanian aims to be as ethical as possible. The business magnate also tries to make sure he doesn’t do it because he is aware of it now.

He started by saying that he is aware that he occupies a different space in life than his wife and daughter. “I am very aware that I am a now wealthy white dude who occupies the space, his entire life, very differently than my wife has and my daughter will. I wanna stress that nothing about the moves I make or the things I do are charitable.”

Ohanian went on to say that he is not doing anything because of charity in order to get the most effective outcome; rather, he has a greedy mindset, which helps him give a different approach. “None of this is because of charity. This is what I believe is going to lead to the most effective outcome long-term“. 

He also said, “I really believe the long-term greedy mindset is just a very different way of thinking about building businesses.”

The Reddit co-founder also stated that he doesn’t want people to think that he cares about societal issues just because he is now extensively aware of them. “I actually worry, like one thing I don’t want people to say, ‘Oh, this dude has a black wife and a black daughter, and now he cares about these things’, right? Because I don’t think you should need to have those things in order to care“.
