‘This the One’ – Proud Fan Naomi Osaka Resonates With Beyonce’s Latest Release ‘Renaissance’

Former world no.1, Naomi Osaka has been enduring a tough season so far in 2022. Currently, the Japanese tennis star is recovering from an Achilles injury and could play her next tournament in Toronto.

Despite a tough season, Osaka is still upbeat, as she was waiting eagerly for American popstar Beyonce’s new album, ‘Renaissance’. After hearing her latest song, Osaka immediately posted it on social media.

Naomi Osaka reacts after listening to Beyonce’s new album

A few hours back, Osaka took to Twitter and posted, this the one.

According to the post shared by Osaka, she was listening to the song called, ‘America has a problem’. Earlier, Osaka posted on her Instagram story, as she was waiting for Beyonce’s album. According to her, she was ready to have a sleepless night just to hear Beyonce’s soulful voice.

It’s worth noting that Osaka met with Beyonce and Jay Z during the off-season before 2020. A year before that, she lost in the round of 16 at the US Open and felt sad about it. However, meeting Beyonce and having a word with her was enough to regain her confidence. Speaking about meeting Beyonce, she said, “She just smelled expensive and beautiful and she was soft and she hugged me. I was like, this is what heaven is.”

“She was talking to me and she said she was proud of me. I thought, wow, that actually was a really important moment,” Osaka further added.

Osaka is looking to end her 2022 season on a high note

In 2022, the 4-time Grand Slam champion, Osaka reached only one final, at the Miami Open. However, she suffered a humiliating loss to the current world no.1, Iga Swiatek. Apart from that, she hasn’t had much success this season. Moreover, she suffered an Achilles injury after the French Open.

To recover from her injury, she withdrew from the Wimbledon Championships. Now, she is getting ready for the US Open, a tournament she won two times in her career. Before that, she is scheduled to appear at the Rogers Cup early in August.
