Apart from tennis, the popular tennis star has other keen interests too. Naomi Osaka, World No. 2 in the world, has been a fan of manga, anime, and movies since she was a child, in addition to tennis. Osaka has achieved a lot at a very young age, be it her game or things in her personal life.

Naomi Osaka is one of the prominent stars who is active on social media. As such, Osaka likes to share life updates with her fans. The Japanese star also appeared as a cartoon character in the manga Naomi Invincible. In her recent Instagram story, she was seen admiring the recent trending documentary on Netflix.

Osaka took to Instagram to appreciate the latest documentary Netflix release. With the picture of the documentary page, she wrote, “this is insane.” it’s comes as no surprise that Osaka is fond of documentaries. As this was not the first time we saw her appreciating a documentary. Osaka has also worked as an executive producer of documentary films in the past.

This two-part documentary tells the story of how aspiring college football player Manti Teo began a relationship with Stanford University student Renai Kekua, whom he met through Facebook. However, when the news that Teo’s grandmother and his girlfriend had died on the same day made headlines and the press began questioning the story, Teo’s image of a girlfriend was quickly destroyed.

Naomi Osaka’s own life documentary was released on Netflix last year. The documentary talks about her journey in playing and learning tennis from a young age. Not only that, but the documentary also showcases the realities of life, such as how she struggled and grew out of it.
Netflix’s original documentary about her life consists of three episodes.

Naomi Osaka has had a good year so far. After a shock first-round loss at the French Open, she missed the 2022 Wimbledon Championships with an Achilles tendon injury. However, she hasn’t had a great time on Tour since last year’s French Open.

But she returned to the tour at the Silicon Valley Classic. She won her first match but lost to this year’s French Open finalist Coco Gauff. Then, while playing at the Canadian Open, she suffered her back injury in her first match. She later retired mid-game.

Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka was eliminated 6-4, 7-5 by Shuai Zhang in the first round of the Western and Southern Open.
