Maria Sharapova is not only a successful tennis player but has also tried her hand at business. However, it didn’t work out at first, but now, after 3 years of Sugarpova being out of business, she might have stepped into a new venture. However, three years after closing down the candy business, she recently hinted at her new endeavor with a quick confession.

Well, Sharapova hasn’t yet opened up about the specifications of her new project but that hasn’t stopped the anticipation of tennis fans. Let’s see what assumption they are making!

Recently, when she attended the Paris Fashion Week while talking about how the fashion industry works, she opened up about taking inspiration from designers regarding how they manage their business aspects, while at the same time hinting about her new venture.

After selling off her candy business in 2021, she has been taking her own time to create something new, but now she has revealed that she is working on a platform that is not particularly in the fashion space but adjacent to a lot of things. Following that, she mysteriously hinted about her new business and said, “But it’s still early days.”

While she has left tennis fans curious about what comes next after Sugarpova, she also highlighted how she has a lot of admiration for the fashion world and how things work in this particular industry. She stated that she understands the fashion industry, and she has a lot more respect for female designers, looking into the way they have handled things season in and season out.

After her sweet business, she has taken a fashionable route, but in her own way, it will be interesting to see what business the former world number one comes in with. However, back in 2021, the 36-year-old Russian tennis player opened up about why she wanted to have her own business while stating the reason behind the candy business.

Sharapova’s thoughts about stepping into the business world 

Three years ago, the Russian tennis player explained her reasoning behind starting the company and, at the same time, highlighted the reason behind starting her own business. She stated, “I was also excited by the opportunity to create and run my own business. After working with many leaders at major companies throughout my tennis career, I had learned a lot, and I knew I had what it would take to make it in the business world.”

As a tennis player, throughout her career, she was surrounded by endorsements and sponsorship deals, to create her own company as a lead. But now, after setting up a candy business from scratch, she is ready to try her hands on something new and different.
