Sloane Stephens, the American tennis professional, has achieved a lot and now is giving back to society. Stephens is a well-accomplished player. She had the highest ranking of 3, which she claimed in the year 2018. She’s a former US Open champion and also won seven WTA titles in her career. Now she has shown that she also has a heart of gold.

Stephens has always been close to her family and always wanted to do something in their honor. There are very high chances that her choice of profession is an outcome of her being inspired by her stepfather’s involvement in tennis. Further, she has always been thoughtful about the well-being of people around her. Therefore, she devised a plan to fulfill her two wishes in one go.

She came up with Doc and Glo scholarship to award 20 potential students. She spoke about the same and said,I am so excited to award 20 incredible applicants The Doc & Glo Scholarship! I created this opportunity to honor my beloved grandparents, affectionately known as Doc and Glo.”

A step taken by Sloane Stephens towards the better future

Sloane Stephens has always considered education as the building block for the betterment of the world. She admitted to the fact that her grandparents have engraved such thoughts in her soul by saying, “They instilled in me from a very early age the importance of pursuing a quality education even amidst my journey towards becoming a professional tennis player. Education is the foundation for success, and it’s something that stays with you forever.”

“It has been such a fun experience partnering with Bold.org — so much so that I’ve decided to make The Doc & Glo Scholarship an annual scholarship!” she added.

She has shown active involvement in acts of charity. One such example is her helping level the playing field for over 10,000 kids securing a safe environment for them. Adding to this, she also assists many public figures such as Chris paul in their deeds.
