Amid the pressure to play their best at the WTA Finals, players are surely disappointed with the fact that the courts were not ready for the players to get enough time to practice. One of the players who made a comeback this year, Ons Jabeur surely shared a part in this. However, another issue that has now popped up among the various WTA issues is the lack of proper scheduling.
Players have not gotten schedules that allow them to rest and give their body a break throughout the year and that just adds up to making their body weaker. Jabeur recently shared how WTA needs to step up when it comes to preparing a better schedule for the players to be able to give their best.

Making a comeback after enduring several injuries warrants better resting between matches. However, the scheduling done by WTA does not allow breathing space for players, and that only continues to frustrate them. Owing to the same debate, she shared how frustrating it can get for players who have injuries and are unable to give their best.

She shared in a recent interview, “The level is high, the scheduling is not great, you travel all the time, you go from one continent to another in a matter of days, which is not great. To be honest, 2024 will be s******* than this year, so it’s going to be tougher on all the players and hopefully we can get through it, or the WTA should find a solution for us.”

Clearly, it can be seen that for an injury-plagued player, it can get very overwhelming mentally as well as physically to endure a season this hectic with tournaments scheduled in a way that does not allow them to restore their strength. This is especially hurtful for Jabeur as she has had several injuries before and has had to endure a painful experience throughout the last season.

In the same interview, Ons Jabeur was asked about how she dealt with her injuries. She shared that she is not a patient person but through this experience, she had to remain very patient. She even shared that she had to make herself realize that this is something that is out of her control.

And that she has to accept the situation and give her body some time as well. Jabeur also shared how grateful she is that she was able to qualify for the WTA Finals as it means a lot to her and she is happy that she got the chance.
