The American tennis legend, Serena Williams, is ready to be a mother for the second time. Despite being a tennis celebrity, the 41-year-old has no one from her family willing to follow in her footsteps. Her five-year-old Olympia’s enjoyment of playing tennis is also minimal. Having no one to pass the baton to yet, the former tennis player voiced her desire for her next child to carry on her sporting heritage.
The first daughter of the 23-time Grand Slam champion sometimes plays tennis with her mother. Williams, in the past, had admitted that her first kid doesn’t have the same attachment to tennis. There may, however, be a glimmer of hope for Serena Williams now that she is preparing to embrace parenthood for the second time.

The 41-year-old former tennis player attended a business event in Germany, where she discussed her pregnancy.“It’s true that I am pregnant and I am looking forward to whatever comes next,” said Williams. The former world number one also expressed how she only wants one thing from her future child after observing her 5-year-old’s lack of interest in tennis.

She said, “My daughter doesn’t like tennis and it breaks my heart. I hope the next kid likes tennis.” The 41-year-old has extensively expressed how her personality contrasts with that of her 5-year-old daughter, Olympia. She also underlined how both Williams and Ohanian are trying to convince her to play tennis.
Two months prior, the former tennis star appeared on the CBS show “Person to Person with Norah O’Donnell” before disclosing her second pregnancy. She discussed her daughter’s most recent endeavors on the episode before joking that her five-year-old doesn’t play a lot of tennis despite exhibiting potential.

Notably, Williams also mentioned that Olympia enjoys socializing and may enjoy playing the sport if she played it with others or perhaps team sports. The 41-year-old tennis star admitted that her child did not particularly like the fact that tennis took up most of her mother’s time, even at the time of her retirement. As Williams considers that to be one of the biggest reasons why her daughter, Olympia, didn’t want to get into tennis.
